Olympic Figure Skating Fashion
On the final day of Sochi 2014, it’s time to take a quick look back at a few of the standout costumes in figure skating this year.
Mao Asada of Japan
Adelina Sotnikova of Russia in her figure skating armour
My favourite (controversial or not): the beautiful red coat on Yulia Lipnitskaya of Russia
And one of Canadian Tessa Virtue’s chic looks.

The Couture Dress 1
I’ve wanted to take this course for a while now, but because of location differences I decided to settle for the online ‘The Couture Dress’ course by Susan Khalje on Craftsy. I started the class tutorials a few weeks ago and just recieved the pattern (Vogue V8648) in the mail today. It will probably be modified significantly, but looks like a good basic to start with, and I love how she teaches! Can’t wait to really get started on this project now. Next step..design and fabric choices!
